Michael Rimoldi, Executive Partner
Resume
Michael is a state certified building contractor (CBC1253520), licensed
building and electrical plans examiner and Certified Building Official
with over 20 years of experience in the construction industry. His experience
and appreciation of the trade originated while working with building
contractor, S.D. Hunt Inc. as a project foreman and lead framer during
which time he was also a student at the University of South Florida
(B.A. 1992). Michael then earned his license in carpentry and framing
and subsequently owned his own business which he operated for over
a decade.
Michael’s experience also includes several years spent in the local
government sector. While employed with the Hillsborough County
Development Services Division in the Building Department, Michael worked
as a plans examiner and then was subsequently promoted to the position
of General Manager of Building Code Compliance and Contractor Licensing.
During that time he supervised a team of inspectors and investigators
working to monitor and enforce the Florida Building Code as well as
state and local ordinances relating to the licensing of contractors
working in the jurisdiction.
Michael serves as a construction consultant and recognized industry
expert who often gives presentations on various building, code and storm
readiness topics around the country. His most recent engagements include
the State of Florida's Governor's Hurricane Conference, ABC's Good
Morning America, CNN's Open House and speaking engagements for the
States of Texas and South Carolina.
Prior to founding Rimoldi Construction, Michael was the Senior Construction
Manager for one of the Tampa Bay Area's finest custom builders in both
single and multifamily residential structures.
