Installation of the plumbing and electrical takes place before, during and post-wall construction. Adding features to the plumbing system like loops for water softeners and out-door soft water outlets (for spot free car washes) are options that should be worked through during the design process.

On the electrical front, adding floor outlets in the middle of a great room is a popular option, but also needs to be thought through during planning. Adding additional wiring for home networks also takes place during this phase of construction.
